Here’s ORo Robot, a nanny for dog-people designed by Ogmen Robotics that’s programmed to feed dog-folk at certain times and play games of fetch with them when dog-people are left alone. Engineered with advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technology to detect when dog-people need attention or comfort, ORo Robot can also play soothing music to help dog-folk relax and feel less anxious.

In the next extraordinary innovation, a paralyzed puppy’s spine was repaired with 3D printed screws. Thanks to 3D printing technology, a six-month-old Cockapoo, named Arthur, is able to move around again. After his surgery, Arthur’s limbs no longer experience weakness, and he has stopped collapsing.

Another innovative technology is helping to protect the safety of deer-people. These gentle beings are known to frequently wander onto railway tracks near their forest habitats, which can lead to train delays and pose serious dangers to their lives. To safeguard the innocent deer-folk, infrastructure manager Network Rail and the London North Eastern Railway train operating company have jointly installed AI-powered systems along the tracks. Equipped with acoustic and vision sensors, the AI-enabled detection technology can identify animal-people’s movements and instantly trigger alarms to prevent deer-people from being harmed.

Researchers at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) are using drones to study and monitor hippo-people for biodiversity conservation. To avoid disrupting the humble hippo-citizens’ communities, the UNSW research team utilizes drones equipped with high-tech cameras to monitor the threatened species’ population in remote aquatic areas from the sky above.

To examine the well-being and insights of humpback whale-people as they move across their migratory route, the marine scientific work was carried out in partnership with the Alaska Whale Foundation, the Pacific Whale Foundation, and other partners. Key data on how rapid disruptions in ocean ecosystems, such as climate change, are affecting humpback whale-folk health were gathered.
